Where we began
Our story starts in the 70s, with our founder and inventor watching black smoke regularly fill the skies over Malaysia. Burning agricultural waste created an environmental hazard for local people and wildlife, and the young inventor decided he would find a better way to deal with it.
Following years of research and testing, we found new ways to use this agricultural by-product to develop a new material with the potential to reduce, reuse and ultimately replace the materials that create the products we use in our everyday lives.
Incredible Husk International was founded in March 2020 and has test beds in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Our HQ is in the UK, and we work with people all over the world.
What we do
We are a research and development company, continually improving and finding new uses for our sustainable manufacturing materials. Through continual innovation we will enable the world to move away from all unsustainable materials and towards environmentally-sound alternatives.
We create incredible materials that give global manufacturers and brands a resource that outperforms unsustainable materials in terms of environmental impact, lifecycle cost, and quality. We can also repurpose plastic waste into new materials for construction or other extended applications.
Our objective is to help industries around the world to decarbonise and actively protect ecosystems, improve health, and combat climate change by using our material to make their products. From the beginning to the end of its lifecycle, Incredible Husk material — and the people who develop and make products with it— play an active role in tackling plastic pollution, decarbonising industries and reducing climate change.
Why we do it
Everyone at Incredible Husk shares the same goal: to make a positive difference to our planet. We want to take active, effective steps right now that will bring down CO2 levels, take plastic out of our environment and prevent deforestation.
We want to stop unnecessary cultivation and deforestation, as well as dumping, burning or burying of waste materials. We want to help industries to replace all unsustainable materials right around the world.
We understand the challenges that face manufacturers. We recognise the barriers to sustainable production. And we’re here to bring those barriers down and to create genuine partnerships that enable them to make the transition to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
